Optional Sunday Tours (Sunday October 23)

If you want to experience more of the local area, arrive early and sign up for the optional Burnaby tour from 12:30-4:30 PM on Sunday, October 23. A bus will take you to four local attractions: Simon Fraser University; Burnaby Mountain Park; Steamworks Brewery; and Nikkei Museum, a heritage Japanese Canadian museum. Vancouver is home to up to 25 percent of the world’s remaining temperate rainforests so dress appropriately in case of wet weather for some of these outdoor attractions. Thanks to Tourism Burnaby, there is no fee to join the tour but you may wish to purchase food or gifts at the stops. Space is limited, so please only sign up if you are sure you can attend. Sign up during the registration process (ticket options) to reserve your spot. If you have already registered, please go back to the registration process and edit your ticket options.

President’s Welcome Reception held at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown (Sunday October 23)

The President’s Welcome Reception is an informal event and will be held on Sunday October 23, 2022 from 5:30 to 10PM. Keep this event in mind when making travel and accommodation arrangements. Enjoy a stand-up dinner, connect with fellow IRP professionals, and kick off the conference grooving along with What’s Next, a six piece party band based in Vancouver.

Monday Social Event (Monday October 24)

This year’s social night promises to be a memorable experience! We’ll guide you from the hotel to downtown Vancouver using the SkyTrain. We’ll start at Canada Place where you can soar across Canada at FlyOver Canada’s special Halloween edition flying ride, Howlover Canada. Next, marvel at one-of-a-kind views of Vancouver while dining at 553 feet (167 metres) at the Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant.

Pre-conference Workshops will be held on Sunday October 23 from 9am to 4pm (half-day or full day, depending on the workshop).

General Terms and Conditions for Participants

1. Registration fees

All participants must pay the registration fee prior to attending conference events. All fees are in Canadian dollars. Federal GST applies for in-person registration at CIRPA 2022. The in-person early-bird, regular, student and emeritus conference registration fee includes the plenary sessions, presentations and panel discussions, the President’s Reception (Sunday evening), Monday/Tuesday breakfasts and lunches, and Monday dinner and social. Optional workshops are offered for free for 2022 only.

The virtual early-bird, regular, student and emeritus conference registration fee includes the plenary sessions, presentations and panel discussions, and online networking and engagement opportunities.

CIRPA annual membership dues are not included ($100 plus applicable taxes; reduced fees for students and emeritus).
