General Terms and Conditions for Participants
1. Registration fees
All participants must pay the registration fee prior to attending conference events. All fees are in Canadian dollars. Federal GST applies for in-person registration at CIRPA 2023. Taxes are assessed based on the participants’ home province/territory for virtual registration at CIRPA 2023. Foreign virtual participants are assessed HST at the highest rate.
The in-person early-bird, regular, student and emeritus conference registration fee includes the plenary sessions, presentations and panel discussions, the President’s Reception (Sunday evening), Monday/Tuesday breakfasts and lunches, and Monday dinner and social. Optional workshops are available for an additional fee.
The virtual early-bird, regular, student and emeritus conference registration fee includes the plenary sessions, presentations and panel discussions, and online networking and engagement opportunities.
CIRPA annual membership dues are not included ($100 plus applicable taxes; reduced fees for students and emeritus).
As per the Sponsorship Prospectus, sponsorship packages include conference registrations according to sponsorship level as follows:
- Grand: Three (3) registrations
- Platinum: Two (2) registrations
- Gold: One (1) registration
- Silver: One (1) registration
- Standard: One (1) registration
Each additional sponsor registration is $450 plus applicable taxes. The additional sponsor attendees are NOT required to pay membership dues and are therefore not signed up as members of CIRPA-ACPRI.
2. Cancellation Policy
Individuals who provide notice of withdrawal prior to October 2nd, 2023 will be eligible for a full refund, less a $50.00 processing fee. Beginning October 2nd, 2023, no refunds will be provided.
Between October 2nd and October 20th, individuals who are not able to attend the conference may submit the name of a colleague to attend in their place. Individuals may also convert an in-person registration to virtual (and vice versa, pending conference capacity).
In-person conference registration closes at end of day on Friday, October 13th, 2023. After this date, purchase of in-person conference registrations will be limited by conference capacity. Registration for virtual attendance to the conference will be open until October 21, 2023.
3. Event Cancellation
In the unlikelihood that an event must be postponed or cancelled for any reason, we will notify all those who have pre-registered. CIRPA will issue a full refund to those who have pre-paid.

CIRPA reserves the right to amend any part of the Conference program if necessary at any time.
CIRPA will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by delegates or accompanying persons, or loss of, or damage to their personal property as a result of the Conference or related events.
