CIRPA 2026 Conference
We are thrilled to announce Mohawk College and McMaster University are once again teaming up to host CIRPA’s 2026 Conference: Waterfalls of Change – Navigating the New Era and Harnessing the Flow of Intelligence for Sustainable Futures. Mark your calendars for October 25-28, 2026!
The conference theme was chosen because Hamilton, Ontario is the “Waterfall Capital of the World”! Hamilton is home to over 100 waterfalls, many of which are nestled within its lush escarpment and urban trails. The 4 tracks for the conference were inspired by Hamilton’s unique natural heritage and stunning geography:
Track 1: Navigating the Rapids – Strategic Foresight & Institutional Agility will help steer your institution through shifting waters with strategy, foresight, and adaptability.
Track 2: Streams of Insight – Data Analytics & Decision Support will assist us in turning data into insight that drives smarter, faster, accountable decisions.
Track 3: Rivers of Resilience – Sustainability & Long-Term Planning will prepare institutions and students to thrive with resilient, forward-looking planning.
Track 4: Waves of Influence – The Power of Storytelling & Engagement will transform numbers into narratives that inspire action and shape culture.
The conference will incorporate some of the must see and do experiences Hamilton has to offer like Sunday excursion to the Niagara Escarpment to go on beautiful hiking trails and visits to waterfalls. And what a beautiful time to do it with Fall season in full bloom. We will be at the Royal Botanical Gardens for our Monday Night Social and museums like the Art Gallery of Hamilton for the President’s Reception. We will have The Yes Men improv comedy troupe taking the stage. One of the Yes Men is none other than comedian/actor Patrick McKenna – a Hamiltonian known for his role in the Red Green Show.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hamilton to take part in excellent professional development and networking opportunities. To get a sneak peek of what the city of Hamilton has to offer, check out this video.
Stay tuned! The official Call for Proposals will be released by the end of this November. We invite you to start thinking about how your work connects with the theme and how you might contribute to CIRPA 2026 in Hamilton!
