Visiting Toronto has never been easier. There are many ways of commuting to Toronto by highways, train lines and airports that service Southern Ontario. Special conference rates have been established with various companies.  See below for details.


If arriving into Toronto by air, you can fly into Pearson International Airport or Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport located on Toronto Island.  Here are the discount codes delegates can use when booking with the various airlines arriving in Toronto.

From/To Toronto Pearson International Airport Transportation

1.      Taxi and Limousines.

For Taxi rates to downtown Toronto (Yonge St. & Bloor St.), the average cost is $53.00 plus additional costs for baggage, multiple passages, etc.  For Limousine rates to downtown Toronto (Yonge St. & Bloor St.), the average cost is $58.00 plus additional costs for baggage, multiple passages, etc.  

2.      Union Pearson Express (UP Express) connects Canada’s two busiest transportation hubs: Toronto Pearson International Airport and Union Station in downtown Toronto. UP Express trains depart every 15 minutes and the journey takes just 25 minutes.  UP Express tickets may be purchased from guest services representative at UP Pearson Station at time of travel for only $9.00 CDN (credit card only) for a one-way adult fare when you show confirmation of conference registration (print or digital).  This rate is discounted for CIRPA conference attendees.  You can also purchase tickets in advance online or using the UP Mobile App (regular rate of $12 applies).

From/To Billy Bishop Airport Transportation

Want to take the shuttle? You can hop on just outside the airport's mainland ferry terminal building or across the street from Union Station. The downtown shuttle stop is located outside the Royal York Hotel’s western entrance on York Street, near the north-east corner of York Street and Front Street.

Take the Pedestrian Tunnel. The entrance to the pedestrian tunnel, is located through the Ferry Terminal at Queen’s Quay West & Eireann Quay, is a 6 minute walk to Billy Bishop Airport, and vice versa. Map.


By Car

Toronto is surrounded by Highway 401, Don Valley Parkway/Highway 404, Highway 400 and the QEW. Parking is available at the hotel. Please refer to the ‘Accommodations’ page for rates.

By Bus, Subway or Rail

1.      Toronto subway and bus routes are offered through the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). A one-way fare is $3.25; you may also purchase a day pass for $12.50. Follow this link for more information.

By Train

The City of Toronto is conference central from September to November so the hotels tend to run out of accommodations fairly quickly.
