This presentation provides an overview of the Power BI implementation program in the Office of Engineering Research at the University of Waterloo. The presentation shows the benefits of: 1) Logging into one low-cost data interface to find complex funding, bibliometric and supervision data from a variety of data sources; 2) Viewing this complex data in straightforward and crisp reports; 3) Having the ability to provide user feedback about data architecture; 4) Knowing that this data will be updated on consistent intervals; 5) Utilizing this information to fulfill a variety of strategic resource allocation, evaluation mechanism and operational functions.
